I have a 1986 80cc yamaha atv what makes the starter stay ingaged and burn up while running. what to do to fix

You could get a push button from an auto supply shop. Wire it between the hot wire of the starter. Your starter will only run when it's pushed at start up. Or take it to a repair shop and spend a lot of money to have it fixed.
