The first answer is correct, however, you say that it will run if you pull start it so you do not need any of that info. The clicking sound you hear is no doubt the starter solenoid which is USUALLY a sign of a weak battery. Just because you charged the battery doesn't mean that it is good. If you don't want to buy another battery, borrow one, or use jumper cables from your car (hook them up correctly and don't start the car). If it starts the battery is your problem, if it still will not turn over, then, it may be your solenoid or the starter motor itself. For further testing, run a jumper cable from +battery right to the large wire connection on the starter motor (assuming good battery and good ground) if it cranks the engine starter motor is good, if it doesn't crank its bad. Hope this info helps.Does anyone know whats wrong when a 2001 yamaha warrior ATV 4-wheeler that won't start.?
you need four things for a motor to start - gas, air, spark, and timing. im sure the timing in the motor is fine, so that leaves air, gas and spark. also, air is almost always getting to the engine so ignore checking that. spark - remove the spark plug and place it back in the spark plug wire. ground the threads of the plug on the block and crank the motor. if you see a spark (its usually very faint) or you get shocked, the spark is fine. as for fuel, i cant think of an easy way to check other than removing the spark plug and turning on the gas valve and cranking the motor. fuel should spray out of the spark plug hole a little when you crank it over.Does anyone know whats wrong when a 2001 yamaha warrior ATV 4-wheeler that won't start.?
